A well-installed zinc-titanium roof comfortably exceeds 80 to 100 years of service life in a rural environment, and copper frequently surpasses a century. Both develop a natural patina — blue-grey on zinc, green on copper — that protects the metal and gives the building a unique character that evolves over time.
